He’s an easy walker, fully leash-trained, and house-trained too—so he`s already got the basics down. Ralph is playful and sometimes gets a little overexcited, which just adds to his charm! He has a soft spot for water and loves splashing around, making him the perfect companion for outdoor adventures or a day by the lake.
While he gets along with some dogs, Ralph can be a bit selective with his furry friends, so he`d do best in a home where he can meet potential doggy siblings first.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
