Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Here comes ZOEY! She’s an adorable 1 year old German Shepherd mix spayed female pup. She is sweet, goofy, smart, silly and funny all rolled up into one amazing girl.
Zoey was a stray and is a little shy at first until she gets to know you, only because her life was lacking a loving and caring human in her life. Zoey loves other dogs and does well on a leash. She crowds you on a walk only when a truck comes flying by or the mail truck whizzes too close by. Otherwise she walks loosely on a leash like a pro. She is also a pro at bow play with other dogs and people. There are no children in her foster home but when they have visited she has done well with them. She is curious about cats and sometimes chase them, so it would take some more training for her to know what she’s supposed to do. If you have a cat, she’s smart so she will pick up the behavior you want; you’d just have to be patient with her.
Zoey goes into the crate with a treat, sleeps through the night and is 99.9% potty trained. We just have to let her out first thing when we get up. She is also learning a really cool trick which is to ring these big Christmas like jingle bells on the door when she needs to go outside so she doesn’t scratch the door or bark.
This girl really wants to be someone’s running buddy or just hang out with her furever human and be the love of their life. If you’d like a smart and sweet girl to make your life fun and cuddly, please fill out an application.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
