My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Babette has a story in that she comes from a long line of International Champion Cats to 30 year breeders. Both the husband, Joel and wife, Camelle, died within a year of each other. She has had several litters of kittens that are carrying on the line with other breeders now. She is very sweet and loves to lay on your chest with her nose touching yours. She is very much typical of the breed and loves to be with people and is more like a dog than a cat. Babette is outgoing and isn’t afraid of much. She doesn’t get along with female cats so would be suitable in a home with another male cat or dogs or both. Because she was a breeding cat she has had extensive heart testing, two echocardiograms to make sure her heart is sound ( responsible breeders check the heart before breeding). She also has had a genetic test done to make sure she doesn’t have any possible diseases that she would have passed on to her kittens and that test is also clear or negative. She likes to talk to you so when you say her name she will meow back. Maine Coons like to play with water and Babette is no exception. She loves her water fountain water bowl to drink out of. She would make a great family cat and right now is living with my daughter Lily in Chicago so you will have to provide transportation to pick her up or Lily might be able to meet you somewhere.
