Hi! I'm the dashingly handsome, Dexter! Not only do I have good looks and charm, but I also have the best jumps and leaps when hunting balls and strings. I enjoy showing off my acrobatic skills with my sister Debra, but I also love to groom and cuddle her. After play, I insist on sleeping on my human's lap while getting chin and belly rubs.
Dexter Loves:
Playing and wrestling (especially with my fur friends)
Toy mice to carry in his mouth, feather toys, balls, and string
Watching bird videos on YouTube
Temptations treats
Dexter's requirements:
Endless love and affection
Indoor only King (he likes the pampered life)
Cat tree and scratching post
Soft beds and blankets
Dexter is perfectly litter box trained and would be an amazing addition to a loving family. He would do best with another cat or cat-friendly dog. He would suggest you bring home his sister Debra for additional laughs, lifelong companionship and friendship. Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

questions.
If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
