Nectarine is a 2 year old Corgi mix who is ready to try all the sweetest things in life with you! Nectarine was rescued from the shelter after being surrendered by someone who found her roaming the local dog park without a collar on. When nobody came to claim her after the stray hold period, we agreed to find her a home who wouldn’t leave her behind again. She wriggled her way into our hearts and rescue and she hasn’t looked back since! Nectarine has that fabulous long Corgi body with unique coloring and a wonderful smile to boot! She will catch the eye of everyone she passes on her daily hot girl walks, we just know it. Scoop up this summer fruit and get ready for a lifetime of fun and love!

Nectarine is a playful, kissy, loving girl who has so much heart it can barely contain itself inside her body. She is wiggly and goofy, with a tail that never stops wagging and a body that can win any dance contest. Nectarine loves her toys as well, and has an ever growing pile of treasure she chooses from every day. She would be the perfect gal to check out the local (dog-friendly) farmers market, coffee shop, or mall. Whenever she goes out, she draws eyes and happily lets anyone pet her. She also loves getting her cuddles from her foster family and rolls right over on her back when she is ready for attention, politely pawing at your hand if she thinks you haven’t given her enough affection. Nectarine is very smart and very intuitive. She would be a great therapy dog as she has the ability to brighten the day of anyone she meets. She’s also smart as well, a total package! If you take out a treat, Nectarine is ready to perform! Lights, camera, action on our girl Nectarine.

Nectarine starts her day at 7 AM with a full body wriggle and stretch before she shakes off and heads outside. She’s a grazer so she has access to her kibble all day, enjoying a bite here and there. In the morning as her foster family gets ready for the day, she snoozes in her dog bed or plays with her foster siblings. As her foster dad gets settled in at his desk, Nectarine heads into the backyard to zoom around with a toy or to get some sniffing action in. In the afternoon, Nectarine gets a walk alongside her foster siblings. She loves checking out the world! Dinner is served when she comes home which she happily tucks into. Nectarine spends her evenings getting cuddles before she heads to bed for the night at 9 PM.

Nectarine gets along very well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She is polite to the resident cat who is dog savvy. Nectarine walks well on a leash and responds quickly to correction. She loves people and is able to make even the most dog hesitant person fall immediately in love with her. We know that Nectarine will be the perfect addition to your summer fruit salad, so what are you waiting for?

Nectarine is an option for any home, regardless of prior dog experience. She would be an amazing first dog. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
