My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- Very playful guy who likes catnip and wand toys

- Cuddly and enjoys sitting next to you and being petted

- Welcomes attention and enjoys companionship

- Has lived with another FIV+ cat and did well with it

- Tends to be stressed around dogs and would prefer a home without them

- Is a tidy boy and prefers multiple uncovered litterboxes in quiet, accessible areas

This cat has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV attacks the immune system leaving a cat vulnerable to recurrent infections. There currently is no cure for FIV, but infected cats can live fairly normal lives for years. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Casual contact such as sharing food/water bowls, mutual grooming, etc. is unlikely to spread FIV. However, we recommend that this cat be an only cat or live with other FIV+ cats. More info is on this cat's kennel, but if you have questions, please consult your regular veterinarian before adoption.
