My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Baker, a 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever! Until recently, Baker lived his entire life in a backyard, misunderstood by his previous family. Now he is ready to find his furever home.

Baker is  starting to come out of his shell and discover the world. Although new experiences can be a bit  scary for him, Baker is making great strides. Every day he is gaining more confidence.  Baker is beginning to socialize with other dogs and learning to  walk nicely on a leash. He is slowly learning what it means to live indoors and be part of a family.

Baker is a medium energy boy.  He settles down well after a good walk.  Sometimes he gets so excited that he can be a bit jumpy but he is learning to control his excitement.  

Baker is ready to bring joy and companionship to a family that understands his journey and will continue to nurture his growth.  He needs patience and love to continue growing.  If you think Baker is the boy for you please complete an adoption application at roversretreat.org
