My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Violet is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee!**

Age: 2 years old
Weight: 2.63kg / 5.79lb

Meet Violet, a curious and playful bunny hidden beneath a shy exterior. While we don’t know much about her past, it’s clear that Violet needs time, patience, and space to truly blossom. In her foster home, she warmed up beautifully, showing off her love for exploring, binkies, and zoomies. Building forts and tunnels out of cardboard boxes and blankets became her favorite pastime!

Violet thrives in spacious environments and would make an excellent free-roam bunny. She’s litterbox trained and sticks to chewing on her toys, leaving furniture and carpets untouched. Her quirky love of office chairs (especially for napping!) and her adventurous spirit—like hopping across kitchen chairs—are sure to bring joy to her future home.

However, Violet values her personal space and prefers interactions on her terms. A calm, experienced rabbit home with no small children will help her feel secure and respected. With the right people, Violet will shine as a wonderful companion. Come meet her and see if she’s the perfect fit for your home!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
