This girl is just beautiful - inside and out. We saved Jackie & her littermates as young puppies from an overcrowded shelter at the end of the spring. They had been on the euthanasia list simply because they were scared in the shelter. Jackie’s littermates have since found wonderful adopters, and now it’s Jackie’s turn to find her furever home.
Jackie has been growing up in her foster home and she’s been an amazing house guest. She arrived all those months ago, hiding in the back of her crate and shaking and has grown so much while in her foster home. She more than deserves to finally settle into a furever home.
Jackie is an incredibly sweet and loving girl with a sensitive, “old soul”. She has a quiet, calm disposition and a gentle spirit about her. Jackie enjoys curling up on her bed with another doggie friend or snuggling up with her person on the sofa. Jackie plays nicely with other dogs and loves their company. Jackie is well known for her happy, wiggle butt dance. She is very food motivated, so continued training will be a breeze for this girl.
Jackie is walking nicely on a leash in familiar and quiet areas, but still gets nervous in new places, especially if there are a lot of people. City living would likely be too much for Jackie, but a home in a quiet neighborhood or out in the country would be ideal. Jackie is entirely comfortable in fenced in yards - playing with other dogs, investigating and sunbathing.
Jackie is crate trained, potty trained and a very quiet girl. She does jump for treats at times even though she knows her basic commands, so she is working on her excitement over those tasty treats.
With a little time and patience from an understanding adopter, we know that our sweetheart Jackie, will make an exceptionally loving and sweet companion.
