Take the Pet Home
This helps Mostly Muttz Rescue with pet care costs.
We saved Zoomie and his three littermates, Zara, Zoey and Zaz from euthanasia. They were very young puppies at the time who were just scared of the overcrowded shelter and needed some time, love and patience. His littermates went on to be adopted over the last few months. Only Zoomie still remains seeking his furever family.
When Zoomie arrived to his foster home in PA, he quickly became the life of the party amongst the dogs in his foster home. This boy loves, loves, loves other dogs. He loves to play and loves their companionship. Zoomie lacks some confidence without another dog by his side, but it isn’t mandatory for him to have another dog in his furever home. He would thoroughly enjoy attending a doggy daycare in place of having another dog in the home.
He can be shy at first when meeting new people, opting to hide behind his person until he is comfortable. So, he will need a patient and understanding adopter for a few weeks while he settles in. Once you’re in, you’ll know it. He’ll start by handing out little kisses and soon after will become your constant shadow and then give you his entire heart.
Zoomie is smart and listens well. He follows routines nicely though he can be impatient at times. Zoomie loves to be outside so much that he is always eager to join you. He LOVES to investigate new things and use his nose, which would make him an excellent camping or hiking buddy. Zoomie does walk nicely on a leash.
He rides nicely in the car but needs a lift in, due to the fact that he would rather continue past the car to go for another walk than to go for a car ride.
Zoomie loves toys - he enjoys collecting them, carrying them from one spot to another and chewing on bones. He loves to play tug of war with other dogs too.
An adopter who takes the time Zoomie will need to adjust, will have a dedicated boy for life. Zoomie is being fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania.
Zoomie is part of our "Meet Me" program. This program allows potentially interested adopters to talk to the foster directly and/or meet the dog before deciding to adopt or put in an application. Just send an email to meet_me@mostlymuttz.com and we'll be in touch!
