My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cooper, a 1-year-old male pit mix with a playful personality and a heart full of love! Cooper is great with other dogs of all sizes and is wonderful with kids, even as young as toddlers. He’s being fostered in a home with a cat and gets along well with everyone. Cooper is house-trained and thrives in a kennel-free environment. Sweet and full of energy, he’s ready to bring joy and fun to his forever family. Interested in making Cooper a part of your family? Apply at ITVrescue.org.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
