Meet Jojo, the shelter's resident knucklehead with a heart of gold. He's an adult dog brimming with energy and a playful spirit that's impossible to resist. Jojo is friendly and goofy, always ready to make you laugh with his funny antics. His curiosity knows no bounds, making every day an adventure. But don't let his playful demeanor fool you, Jojo is also incredibly smart. He's a quick learner who loves to train, making him a joy to work with. Jojo already has a lot of the basics down. He would love to find an adopter who's interested in advanced training like tricks, obedience, agility, or scentwork. (Or all of the above!) Jojo is super playful and can be a bit of a knucklehead around other dogs, so sturdy doggie friends are a must. His loyalty is unwavering, promising a bond that's as strong as it is enduring. More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
