Sonny is a laid back boy looking for a porch to hang out on where he can meet all the neighbors. He is social in a lazy, sit by your side way and not a chat and play way. He also enjoys casual strolls and nice treats. He has a passing interest in other dogs, in the same lazy, just hanging out together with maybe some lazy play kind of way.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.

Our mission is
