**Meet Archie: The Playful and Affectionate 100lb German Shepherd**
Hey there, I`m Archie, a big-hearted 100lb male German Shepherd who`s all about fun, affection, and making new friends! Despite my imposing size, I`m really just a gentle giant who adores people and craves human companionship. I mean did you notice my EARS, they are really cute...I know!
I`m known for my playful nature and boundless energy. Whether it`s chasing after a ball, going for long walks, or just goofing around, I`m always up for an adventure. I thrive on interaction and love nothing more than spending quality time with my favorite humans.
Now, about my current situation – I`ve been experiencing some kennel stress due to my size and the confined space. You see, I`m a big guy who needs room to stretch my legs and move around comfortably. Despite this, I`m trying my best to stay positive and hopeful that the right person will come along soon to give me the space and love I deserve.
When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit selective with my friendships. I prefer calm and respectful canine companions who understand my gentle demeanor. With the right introduction and a little patience, I can be quite the gentle giant among my doggie pals.
If you`re looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who`s ready to shower you with love and bring endless joy to your life, I`m your guy, Archie the German Shepherd. Let`s create unforgettable memories together and make each day brighter with laughter and companionship.

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
