My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our precious Sophie is a castaway from an owner that has come upon hard times and cannot take care of her. This sweet girl is obviously underweight from not having the food she needed and now at the shelter she is certainly not getting what she needs either. Sophie at 4 years of age is needing to be spayed and we are needing a place for her to go after the spay. She weighs only 28 pounds and we know she should probably be 38-40 lbs in reality. She is currently in a hard core and small, dirty, shelter in Tennessee and we want her OUT and safe and fostered by someone who cares enough to help her get to her next step forever home. The photographer that went to the shelter and took these pics, said she was so nice and sweet and very good with other dogs. She has the look and total feel of a Husky girl that only wants to love you and to be loved right back by her humans. She was easy going, gentle and friendly for pictures. We feel that she was probably housebroken since was inside with previous owners. Take a wonderful chance on a “wonderful” dog. You won’t regret helping Sophie.

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
