My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Minka is leash trained, does well in a car, likes to fetch and likes toys. She is even-tempered and eager to please. Minka is approximately 6 years old, current on her vaccinations, spayed and has completed and tested negative for heartworm.

Initially shy, Minka cautiously approaches the world around her, but it doesn't take long for her gentle nature to shine through. Her affinity for people knows no bounds. Once you welcome her into your heart, Minka's playful antics know no end. A lover of fetch and a devoted companion, she delights in carrying toys and her leash, eagerly anticipating the next adventure. The mere mention of a walk ignited a spark within her – her excitement palpable as she bounces and hops like a jubilant rabbit, her tail wagging with unrestrained joy. And if you listen closely, you'd hear her unique way of communicating – a symphony of grunts and murmurs, a language all her own, punctuated by the rhythmic beat of her tail. While her love for people knows no bounds, Minka's interactions with other animals are more nuanced. Selective in her companions, she finds solace in the company of larger dogs, forging bonds built on mutual respect and understanding. And amidst them, she found harmony, her playful spirit igniting theirs in shared moments of joy. But perhaps her most remarkable trait is her resilience – an unwavering strength that has carried her through hardships and triumphs alike. Through it all, she remained steadfast in her capacity to love and be loved. Today, Minka's story serves as a testament to the transformative power of compassion and resilience. From the depths of uncertainty, she emerged as a beacon of hope, a reminder that with love and perseverance, anything is possible. And as she basks in the warmth of her forever home, her journey continues, a testament to the indomitable spirit of rescue dogs everywhere. Minka is ready to head to her forever home.

We are looking for a family without other dogs, though she lived with her foster; 4 cats; and 2 other akitas.
