My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tinkerbell is a curious, affectionate young girl who loves butt scratches! She would love a home with another kitty, or just someone to give her lots of love at the end of a work day. She is friendly and loves people! Although she is skittish still, she always wants to be near humans. It helps to seek her out and say hi to her and not to be too aggressive in trying to get her out of her shell. She likes to eat with her foster staying right by her! She is also super sweet and won't leave her foster's side at night. She even pushes in between her fosters if she has to to be close to them both at night!

Tinkerbell would thrive in a quiet home, but also a home with lots of humans who like to stay in with her. She would be a great work from home buddy, or an emotional support animal.

Tinkerbell has some chronic GI upset and will need some care for the rest of her life. Likely will need a steroid pill daily, and may also need a special diet for the rest of her life as well. She takes her pill really easily, so that helps!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
