Meet Blue! She is an extremely sweet, smart and playful dog. She is energetic and loves to go on walks. She loves chewing toys and stuff animals and we bring her favorite on the walks for her to carry at times so she doesn’t bite the leash. She is extremely affectionate so I wouldn’t recommend her in a household with young children. She behaves very well around other dogs and didn’t seem to care about our cat. She is fully crate trained, is not food possessive, and during the day she loves to go on walks and play in the yard. It took her 1 week to get out of her shell and show her full personality, but she quickly learned our family dynamics and her surroundings. At times when she got overly excited while playing we gave her a stuffed animal or a chewing toy and she immediately corrected behavior.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
