My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Scooby is a rescue from a small county shelter. He was surrendered due to not getting along well with other dogs in his previous home. He is about two years old and around 15 pounds. For an application please text Donna@(520)490-0401 of June@(520)870-1303.

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application with references, an initial phone interview and a home visit. All of our pets are fostered in private homes, so we may do the initial meeting at one of the foster homes. At adoption time, there is an adoption contract and an adoption fee ranging from $150-$450. All of our pets have been examined by a vet, have appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip.

Go meet their pets

Most of our adoptions are done as private adoptions. We have chosen not to do large venues because we do not allow pets to leave an adoption event unless an application and a home visit have already been completed.
The events that we do are partnered with Holistic Pet Shoppes and Taylor Tack and Feed.

More about this rescue

RUFF Rescue Tucson is a small foster rescue organization started by a group of concerned friends more than decade ago. Our original focus was puppymills, but as the world and economy have changed we have added community intervention to our program. We hope to be able to either help with pet food to allow pets to stay in their current, loving homes or to take in the pets from the community that we can keep out of the already overcrowded county shelter systems. We survive on the generosity of benefactors and small fundraisers.
