Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Artimus, a charming 1 year and 9 month old, 15-pound, Maltese with a heart full of potential. This sweet boy was found as a stray and is still adjusting to his new life. Artimus is timid and needs slow introductions to new people and situations. He's shown that he prefers to have his own space and doesn't like dogs near his area. So best as the only dog in the home. Artimus loves being outside, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, and he has a particular fondness for treats. He's also discovering the joy of playing with toys and is learning to have fun with them. He would be best suited in a quiet home with a single female as he seems to be scared of men.
This little guy is making amazing strides in potty training and does pretty well on a leash. Artimus is very sweet once he warms up to you, but he needs a patient and understanding home without small children. With the right family, Artimus will continue to blossom and show just how loving he can be.
Artimus is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives.
Adoption fee is: $150
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
