My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jacob/Jack, the ultimate helper and charming companion! Jack loves to be involved in everything you do-whether it's making the bed, cleaning the house, or wrapping presents, he's always by your side, lending a paw. A social butterfly, Jack adores having company and thrives on conversation. He'll chat back with sweet kitty meows, often posing a question or leading you to his food bowl for a snack. Jack's days are a mix of cozy naps in his kitty tower, window-watching to stay updated on the outside world, and energetic bursts of playtime. His favorite toys include a fishing pole and ribbon, and he takes his daily sprints very seriously.
While Jack isn't a lap cat, he's the perfect "side cat, happy to lounge beside you on the couch. In the evenings, his ideal setup is snuggling between you and a loved one, enjoying ear and chin scratches while soaking in the shared peace. Jack even offers affectionate head bumps-one of his sweetest gestures.
Spoiled? Just a little-but all Jack truly wants is to be close to you, to be talked to, loved, and cared for. In return, he'll entertain you endlessly and give you unconditional love. Jack is, without a doubt, a real gem of a cat.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
