Dixie is a two year old, 13 lb Beagle/Chihuahua mix, but the breed mix is just our best guess.
Foster mom says she is a super a sweet girl. She is very loving and affectionate and enjoys snuggling next to her people. She enjoys playing with the other two dogs in her foster home, and they run around the yard and wrestle. Dixie also enjoys playing with toys, but mostly she takes them to the backyard and leaves them. Dixie really enjoys her food and will scarf it down, so using some type of slow feeder will help. Dixie walks well on a leash and is friendly with everyone she meets. Dixie is such an easy going girl, she will fit it with just about any type of home, and she will be a wonderful companion. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
