What the foster family has to say about this animal: In the home environment, Trooper is genuinely the best kind of dog. He just wants to hang out on the couch, snuggle, and watch World War II documentaries or Minecraft gameplay videos all day. When he was brought to the foster home, he surprised us by showing that he was already kennel trained, housebroken (except for one accident that may have just been marking in a new environment) and is good with the two cats and one dog that already lived in the home. He’s happy enough to go for a walk or a car ride and meeting new people, but also enjoys the couch potato lifestyle and snuggling under blankets. His very first night he was given a bath and sat very patiently and without fuss in the tub. He seems to be a big fan of the warm water and towel drying experience. Overall, his foster parents believe that he would be an excellent addition to any family because of his easygoing nature. The only thing that a family may need to get used to is the fact that he cannot hear, but he is very eager to please and understands hand signals well. Trooper deserves to find his forever home so that another pup can benefit from the foster home opportunity. Also, he does prefer being the little spoon during naps and does snore softly, so please keep that in mind.

What the volunteers have to say about this animal: Trooper is a sweet older gentleman, who is looking to spend his senior years in a loving home. During his short time here, he has become one of the volunteers and staff favorites as he loves belly rubs and back scratches. In his older age he does seem to have some hearing impairment, but we do not know if it is full, partial, or like most older gentleman selective. He understands some hand signals and we are still working on lea
