My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Twiggy was found in a trailer park, emaciated and with her tail degloved (her tail was likely caught in something and the skin was traumatically removed).
She had her entire tail amputated by a surgeon and made a full recovery, and has put on some pounds.
She`s very friendly, with a bit of a calico spicy side! She likes to play with toys and explore her foster home.
Twiggy does seem stressed out by being around other animals sometimes; while in the adoption center she developed sterile cystitis (a bladder condition brought on by stress in cats), so in her future it is recommended she be in a low stress environment, and possibly be on a urinary diet.
She is a very social friendly girl who purrs when pet and loves people.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
