My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peter, a young, independent feline with a heart as gentle as a whisper. His sweet nature is truly captivating, making him a delightful companion. His friendly demeanour is like a warm breeze, welcoming everyone with open paws. Peter`s mellow temperament allows him to adapt easily to new environments, making him a perfect fit for any home. His independent streak ensures he`s comfortable with some alone time, but he`s always ready for a cuddle session when you are. Peter is not just a cat, he`s a friend, a confidant, a constant source of joy. Adopt Peter and let his gentle purrs fill your home with love and tranquility.

More about this shelter

The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
