Meet Bonnie, a 2-year-old heeler mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life. This medium-sized sweetheart, weighing in at 47 pounds, is known for her cuddly and affectionate nature. Bonnie has spent a few months at the humane society, which has been stressful for her, but she`s ready to find her forever home where she can relax and truly shine. Bonnie is a quick learner who loves to master new tricks, and her enthusiasm is contagious. She`s a big jumper, always eager to greet you with a warm welcome. While she gets along well with other dogs, Bonnie sometimes needs her own space to unwind and decompress. One of her favorite pastimes is going on car rides, where she can enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
With a little patience and a lot of love, Bonnie is sure to adjust beautifully in her new home, bringing endless joy and companionship to her lucky new family.

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
