My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to the adorable 3-year-old grey tabby, Maya! Maya was recently returned to HSEC due to no fault of her own but is now ready to charm her way into a forever home! This little sweetheart with a face as cute as a button and fur as soft as a cloud has blossomed lately. Prepare your ears for her purr-sonal serenade as she demands pets from everyone she meets! Her playful antics are sure to bring laughter and joy to any household. Maya has a special knack for finding the snuggliest spots in the house to lounge in, where she can nap and stretch to her heart's content. Despite her lively spirit, Maya is equally content to curl up beside you, offering warmth and companionship. Her big, expressive eyes seem to hold a world of gratitude and love, making it impossible not to fall for her charm.

Maya is your girl if you're looking for a feline friend who can bring excitement and tranquility into your life. She's ready to fill your home with purrs, playfulness, and endless affection. Adopt Maya today and let this delightful little kitty become a cherished member of your family.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
