Hi, I'm Churchill, and I am the epitome of feline charisma! With a cheerful, playful spirit that knows no bounds, I am on a mission to steal your heart and fill your home with endless love and laughter. I'm currently in a foster home, and my foster mom has tons of good stuff to say about me!

"Churchill is a very sweet young boy with a big heart. His foster home has two active young boys, who play with him and carry him around the house. He has never bitten or scratched anyone! He loves to purr and is warming up to cuddles. He is very attentive to his family. When the family is all home, he walks around checking on all family members to make sure we are ok. He is very good about using the scratching post and has not tried to scratch any furniture. He is gentle and friendly and is ready for his forever family."

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Review our adoption process and complete our new online pet application. If you need assistance, call us or visit our Adoption Center!

2.
Approve Application

If you have had pets in the past 10 years, we will do a vet check and we will check with your landlord or HOA that you can have the pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once approved, everyone in your home will need to meet the pet. Also, any existing dog will need to meet a dog you want to adopt.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

We will ask you to sign an adoption contract and pay our adoption fee - a schedule of fees is on our website.

We have one Adoption Center at 1901 W. Ogden Ave., Downers Grove, IL. Please come in to complete our pet application or fill it out online and we will contact you to schedule an appointment to meet our awesome dogs and cats!

The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!

WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time.
