Meet Mayflower
Mayflower is looking for a special family or person that will be patient and understanding of her shy nature. Mayflower is an incredibly sweet and loyal. She's approximately three years old, based on her look, we think she's a Bassett mix. She is thick, LONG and low just like a Bassett and when she's excited she has the cutest little howl. Unfortunately, Mayflower had a rough beginning at life living on the streets. She's been in our program since November and has made great socialization progress. She's extremely shy when she meets new people, but as soon as she knows that she is safe, she will warm up and just wants to be loved. She's 100% housebroken and has never had an accident in her foster home. Mayflower is a great companion she just needs someone to give her a chance. She does great with other dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes. She loves to go for car rides. She just doesn't actually like to go anywhere. She shakes with her fear when she actually shows up somewhere new. If you're looking for a pup to just lounge around with and go for joy rides, Mayflower is your girl! Additional adoption info

Adoption fee range from $150-250 for dogs and $90-125 for cats and each animal is altered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. You will be required to complete an application for your selected pet. You can do so at www.saverescue.org/adoptionapplication. Processing may take up to 3 days. The application will include previous pet experience and vet info, how you will house your new pet and a little about your lifestyle so that we can be sure your pet will mesh with your family's activity level. We want you to have a permanent family member so we will take great care to assure that you find a suitable companion.

S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition works to promote adoption through new adoption events, more public exposure of pets for adoption, and help the public make a good match with an adoptable animal.
Rescue groups work very hard to save animals every day, often using their own money, sacrificing time with family etc. We have animals from shelters and the streets of Houston that are now adoptable pets and we area helping these animals find permanent, loving homes.
We are all volunteer and no funds are spent for salaries, benefits etc. All money goes directly to the rescue group or their animals.
