Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**BOZEMAN IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA**
Bozeman is a perfect pocket full of fun and delight! He has great toy drive, loves to play and do things. Has a sporty, athletic constitution AND…he is super cute but EVEN CUTER if he knows you! (He loves his people and isn’t afraid to show it.)
As Border Collies sometimes are…he is aware of his environment and those in it, in a watchful, thoughtful way but he truly delights and thrives in the attentions and connections with those he knows best. He is socially solid and appreciates his relationships.
He came to us from Texas where he was originally surrendered by his owner (we don’t know why…) After landing at a rescue and saved by a canine handler who recognized his drive and talent, she introduced him to one of our recruiters and that was that. Come on, boy! Let’s search! It was a couple of months before we really knew that disaster relief was not his calling, but he is so talented and so delightful we think he would have a blast as a sporting partner or active companion.
Bozeman has been living and playing in a foster environment with plenty of dog companions and lots and lots of fun activities. His foster mom reports that in addition to being safe around all shapes and sizes of other dogs, he is fine with cats too and ok around livestock. He loves ball and toys, is good on leash, and is fully housebroken as well as crate trained. He rides well and quietly in a car. He has good cooperative care skills, like bathing and getting his nails trimmed. He LOVES to swim and has already learned dock jumping. He listens well off lead and is not an escape artist. He wears an Outfox Field Guard on his face with no problems while running in fields with foxtails and other weed enemies of dogs.
He packs a lot of wonderful traits into a small package, and we can’t wait for him to land in YOUR pocket!
