Rocky is a gentle middle- ager with a huge heart and a calm, easygoing personality. This mellow guy is the definition of `man`s best friend`- he loves nothing more than being by your side, whether it’s lounging at home, strolling through the neighborhood, or enjoying a cozy afternoon nap.
During a stay in foster we learned that Rocky is great with people of all ages, making him the perfect companion for families, singles, or seniors looking for a loyal friend. He’s housetrained, does well left alone at home out of a crate, is well-mannered, and doesn’t need a lot of exercise – just some affection and a soft spot to relax.
Here`s what Rocky’s foster said:
`Rocky is a big teddy bear. He is totally unbothered by loud noises, foot traffic outside of our apartment, or anything seen on our walks. He loves car rides, the water, and getting snuggles. He`s a really gentle soul and would love to have a permanent home to call his own!`
And here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“Wow, I had Rocky in the Dog of the Day yard today and he was fantastic!! He met a lot of different people including kids ranging from five or six years old and up! At one point a family of five came into the yard and Rocky greeted them with a waggy tail and weaved his way through to say hi to every member of the family! The kids were particularly fond of him and he loved the pets that he received from them! He was confident and friendly and wanted to leave with every family he met! He took treats gently and sought affection from all of his new best friends! I give Rocky a rating of A plus! He will truly make a great addition to a family!”
“Omgoodness Rocky just gets better and better. I took him over to the grooming room for a bath today and this boy was uhmazing. He was the only dog willing to walk up the ramp into the wash sink. He did jump out, so we finished in the shower. He loved the water, was patient with scrubbing and brushing, and allowed me to touch him all over his body. This boy is incredibly sweet, tolerant, and easygoing. I imagine that he would do great in a variety of family situations, as long as he has someone who will love on him!”
“We took Rocky and his kennelmate out to a play yard together. This gentle boy is super tolerant of handling. He and his pal chased each other around the yard and played for a few minutes, then both came over to me for snuggles. They are both sweet and affectionate love bugs!”
