My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nothing sweeter than a KIT KAT bar....oops, dog! This adorable 5 month old boy with a coat of many colors arrived with his brother Tootsie almost 3 months ago, they've melted hearts ever since. Kit Kat is dog-friendly, making lots of furry pals and a happy boy, a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and shows his sweet nature. Kit Kat is in foster care, to meet him complete an application and it will be forwarded to his foster.
* 7 mos, male Cattle dog mix (guess) Colorful fur ~35 lbs
* Dog friendly, good on leash, shy but very sweet, likes pets, loves pool
Kit Kat has spent almost half his short life in the shelter, he needs a loving home to thrive and share his loving heart!

More about this shelter

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
