My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pearl!
Pearl is a sweet 5-year-old Pitbull with a striking, pure white coat and warm, tan-brown eyes. Her short, stubby ears and soft, floppy expression give her a gentle, lovable look that matches her personality.

Personality and Traits:
Pearl is the perfect mix of calm and playful. She loves playing ball and will even bring it back—sometimes! But when it’s time to relax, Pearl is just as happy to lounge around with her people. She’s incredibly affectionate and adores being close to those she trusts, soaking up all the love and hugs she can get. She’s also very tolerant and doesn’t mind if her paws, ears, or tail are touched, making her a great fit for families. Walking Pearl is a breeze; she’s easy on the leash, doesn’t pull much, and can even be walked with just one hand. Pearl enjoys her independent moments but always comes back to check in for some extra affection.

Special Considerations:
Due to Pearl’s short, pure white coat, she’s prone to sunburns, especially around her face and ears. It’s important to limit her time in direct sunlight and apply dog-safe sunscreen when necessary to protect her sensitive skin.

Ideal Home:
Pearl is easygoing and adaptable, making her a great choice for first-time dog owners or families. Whether you’re looking for a playful partner to toss a ball around with or a calm companion for snuggles, Pearl fits the bill. She’ll thrive in a home where she can get a balance of both activity and relaxation time, along with plenty of affection.

Why Adopt Pearl?
If you’re searching for a loyal, loving dog who’s as easygoing as they come, Pearl is your girl! She’s affectionate, calm, and ready to fit seamlessly into your life as the perfect companion. Adopt Pearl and enjoy every cuddle, playtime, and peaceful walk with this sweet, lovable girl.

Go meet their pets

Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.

You can see all of our animals at www.wvcpets.com [wvcpets.com]
