Skye is a 1.5 year old mini Australian Shepherd who was rescued from a puppy mill, but she is very outgoing for a mill dog. She is spunky and sweet and everything you could ask for in a tiny package weighing just over 25lbs. She has true Aussie energy and needs someone familiar with the breed or who wants a very active dog and is prepared to provide lots of physical and mental outlets. Special consideration will be given to an adopter who is interested in a dog sport.

Skye is potty trained on a consistent routine IF she has a fenced yard, as she does not like to go potty on a leash yet, so that is a requirement. She is working on crate training and takes some anxiety medications to help her sleep through the night, however she would probably prefer to go without a crate and be gated off in a dog-proofed area when unattended. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes and currently attends doggie daycare. Skye is neutral to the cats in her current foster home, however she would likely not do well in a home with a cat who isn't confident and accustomed to living with a dog as her and the cat in her previous foster home were not a good fit.
