Pepper is about 9 months old and 10 pounds. We think she is a Yorkie/Maltese mix, with beautiful black fur. She has learned to use the pee pads in just one day.
Unfortunately, this brave little pup came to us in quite a bit of pain. Her front leg was severely mangled and unfortunately, had to be amputated in an emergency surgery. She is now recovering in her foster home and seems to be grateful that she is no longer in pain. Once she is recovered, we will begin her routine vetting, including a spay. Her veterinarians believe she will do just fine getting around on three legs and should be a normal puppy in all respects.
Everyone she has met has been completely charmed by her. We will begin taking applications for her now, but she will most likely not be ready to go to her adopter till she has fully recovered and been vaccinated.
