My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moulin Rouge, affectionately known as Cocoa by his foster family (Moulin Rouge just doesn't quite roll off the tongue......)!
Dogs don't come much cuter than this, and it is a good thing for this little dude as he has a big attitude!
Cocoa's ideal home would include another dog, and no children. This little guy will be an excellent, constant companion for someone who will set boundaries with him and ensure he isn't put in a stressful situation with strangers. He loves sunbathing it's very cute. I believe he has a cat personality in a dog body. He prefers things on his schedule he likes to be the one to approach people or start snuggling.
He really does enjoy pets, scratches and affection he really leans in and enjoys touch. I've given him a few baths and he's been really well behaved for that. He doesn't nip or whine and has some really funny post-bath zoomies. With our other dog he is very curious and playful. He's great walking together and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs.

Here are just a few things Cocoa loves:
- Toys! All kinds of toys! He will entertain himself nonstop throwing them around and chewing on them. Put them all in a basket, and then watch him pull them all out during the day! So cute!!
- Other dogs! Cocoa has been awesome with other dogs, both large and small.
- Walks! This little dude is full of energy and has been walking nearly 5 miles/day in his foster home.
- Car rides! Few things get Cocoa more excited than the idea of a car ride with someone he loves. He comfortably lies on the passenger seat like a true gentleman. He is up for adventure!

If you are interested in learning more about this cutie, please fill out our adoption questionnaire and ask to be put in touch with his foster mom. She'll be happy to answer any questions you may have, and fill you in on all of his endearing, and not-so endearing, qualities.
