My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shadow is the sweetest dog. He is friendly and loves to play. He is snuggly and good with children, cats, and dogs. He loves to be with us. We are heartbroken to have to look for a new home for him.

We adopted him at 1 yr old, and his previous home had mistreated him. We discovered that he had never been outside, because he did not know how to use steps (there were steps down the front and back, so he would have had to use them to get out). He would fatigue easily because he spent so much time in a cage. He felt uncomfortable going to the bathroom outside, because he had always gone inside (the owner admitted this to us). We are inexperienced with dogs, and have been unable to fully housetrain him. However, I am confident that he can be housetrained. He is such a perfect dog, other than this one thing. We have multiple children and a neurodivergent household, and it is just been more than we can manage to offer the consistency he needs to overcome this challenge.
