My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simone is a black and tan coonhound who is around 10 years old and weighs around 60 pounds. Simone is a very special girl to us as she first came to us many years ago with a a mangled front let that had to be removed. She has been adopted a couple of times and returned a couple of times. We know that this time, we are going to help her find the perfect forEVER home!

Simone is loyal and devoted to the people she loves. She wants to be with her family and is sad if she is separated or not included. She likes to follow you around and sleep in the same room as her humans. She is house trained and crate trained and has wonderful indoor manners. She has lived with cats in two other homes. She lives with a lot of dogs in her current foster home. She gets along with them well and enjoys their company, entertainment and antics. She's also good onleash and riding in the car.

Simone is looking for an adopter who is devoted to her and adores her as we do! You may be thinking she was been returned because there is something wrong with her. No. She's has been returned through no fault of her own and that makes us even more determined to find her someone who truly appreciates her beauty and strength.

A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Simone, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs!

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. We also have reduced or waived adoption fees for many seniors, dogs with speciall medical or behavioral needs and other "slow to adopt" dogs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
