My story

Up for adoption in New England and the Midwest - Bonded pair Apollo and Matteo

At almost a year old Apollo (60 lbs) and Matteo (70 lbs) were found as strays in Ohio. Lucky Lab was trying to save them but the man whose land they were found on sent them to a shelter. Luckily the founder of Lucky Lab quickly found out where they were and stepped up to save them.

They were fostered in separate homes and were not doing very so we decided to put them together to see how they’d do. Imagine our amazement that being together is exactly what they needed. They are doing wonderfully now.

Their foster mom says: they are simply the sweetest and are very smart. The boys have learned that kennels aren’t bad (theirs are side by side) but they are very excited when their people come home. Apollo and Matteo enjoy attention, even from kids and people they just met. They know basic words and commands: down/ off, outside, come, kennel up, sit, lie down, leave it, food/ eat, water/ drink, treat. They are easily trained and want to please. These two love their people and enjoy snuggles, belly rubs, soft blankets, and treats. Apollo and Matteo also enjoy walks and a good car ride. Other favorite pastimes are playing together in the yard, romping with their foster canine brothers, enjoying toys, and eating. 😉.Although we can’t be certain, the boys haven’t seemed bothered by cats.

Both cuties are housebroken, neutered, heartworrm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventative medications.
