Here's what the humans have to say about me:
An update on NILA from her fosters:
“ Nila enjoys spending time outdoors. She is quietly mesmerized by watching the birds and critters while keenly tracing their path through our backyard. This is her greatest pastime, and she is best suited for a home with a yard large enough to explore and areas for nature walks where she can pick up a scent to follow.
Nila's day is a mix of activities, from leisurely napping and playful toy chewing to observing the world from the comfort of a window. But her true happiness lies in the warmth of human affection. She thrives on outdoor adventures and cherishes the company of her human friends.
Nila is a versatile companion, equally at home with another dog or as your sole sidekick. She has an independent nature and has adapted well to the comforts of indoor living, having come from an outdoor shelter, a testament to her resilience and flexibility.
Nila likes her space when sleeping but also loves to curl up beside you for belly rubs at the end of the day. She is house-trained and understands commands such as sit and off, so there is no need to create this girl. She is eager to please and takes great pride in offering her paw to prove it!
Nila takes her time meeting new people and dogs. She likes to assess the situation first and is well-behaved with two- and four-legged friends. She walks well on a leash, making sniffing stops along the way.
Apply for Nila today if you are looking for a sweet, happy, adventurous, outdoorsy girl.”
Hello, my name is NILA! I'm a 1-2 year old 40lb Lab/Weimaraner/Whippet (just a guess) girl who adapted really well to my foster home.
I'm a playful energetic pup who gets along well with my foster siblings. I'm also good with kids. I haven't been tested with cats yet but my rescue family thinks I wouldn't hurt them.
I love cuddling on the couch, good at quiet time and I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard! I walk very well on leash and I'm housetrained because I'm just that smart. I've graduated from training class with flying colours and know all my basic commands!
Here’s what my foster family says about me:
“With the arrival of warmer weather, Nila enjoys spending time outdoors. She is quietly mesmerized by watching the birds and critters while keenly tracing their path through our backyard, her greatest pass time and best suited for a home with a yard large enough to explore.
Nila's day is filled with a variety of activities, from napping and chewing toys to watching the world go by from the window. But her true joy comes from seeking and receiving affection. Her longing for a home with other dogs or a home where she can be your constant companion is evident in her every action.
Despite valuing her personal space, she always greets you with genuine joy and is eager to please. She also gets along well with people and other dogs.
Nila is house-trained, understands basic commands such as sit and down, loves to shake your paw, and walks well on a leash. Although she has some personal boundary issues, she is beginning to understand that jumping in your lap may not always be appropriate.
If you want an independent, low-shedding, affectionate addition to your home, apply for this girl today.”
