Knox is a young, playful boy ready to steal your heart! 💖 At just 15 weeks old, this little bundle of joy weighs in at 21 lbs. 🐾 He’s expected to grow into a larger dog, likely over 40 lbs. 📏

While we’re not entirely sure of his breed, we believe he’s a hound mix now that his ears have grown long and floppy and his face is getting narrow. 🐕‍🦺 Either way, Knox is full of love and looking for his forever home. 🏡

Knox's adoption fee is $200, he has received age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, flea & tick treated, tested negative for Parvo, and will be microchipped and scheduled for his neuter upon adoption.

You can apply online for them at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21 OR stop into the shelter from 12 - 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.

Our adoption fees are:
$300 for puppies under 6 months
$225 for dogs over 6 months
$90 for kittens under 6 months
$60 for cats over 6 months
$25 Barn cats

Some animals may have a different adoption fee due to part of the fee being sponsored or because it is a lowered fee to try and move the animal.

The Highland County Humane Society is located 2 1/2 miles east of Hillsboro, OH on St. Rt. 124. We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter which provides a safe haven for dogs and cats while they transition from their past lives to their future, forever homes. We are a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization first organized in 1969 and guided by a dedicated board.
