My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for Prince Charming? Here I am!

Yes, I know... I'm so very good looking. My name is Alp, and I'm a tall and handsome boy with lovely green eyes to complement my silky and shiny gray/white tuxedo coat. What is more impressive than my looks is my AMAZING personality. "What? Looks AND personality?!" I hear you, but trust me it is possible.

I am loving, affectionate, easy-going and super-sweet. I love being petted and I purr when you pet me to let you know you are doing a great job. I like to sleep on the bed with you and sometimes even put my head next to yours on the pillow. I am such a good natured boy, when my foster mom brings orphan kittens home, I raise them. I enjoy grooming and snuggling with my kitty friends and I have fun playing with my toys and other kitties too.

I was rescued after being spotted all by myself in a Ralph's parking lot where I was desperately looking for food in empty wrappers. Fortunately the person who noticed me knew someone from Kitten Rescue and they were able to catch me easily. I know I am so very lucky for having gotten into foster care and not having to fend for myself or starving to death out on the streets, and I hope my luck continues to find a purrever loving home and my own human parents.

If you want a handsome boy with the best personality ever, I would be a good match for you.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
