My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a transfer from Villalobos Rescue Center in Louisiana and can't wait to be adopted into a nice quiet home. I am pretty shy and get really nervous around new people, especially men. At the shelter I am known to hide under my bed when I'm uncomfortable or scared, but will come out with some gentle persuasion and kibble treats. Once I warm up and get used to a person my favorite is a belly rub followed with lots of hugs. I also don't mind being carried, I'm only 32 pounds   I get along really well with one of the other dogs I transferred with, Odette, we would play together all the time before she went into foster. I would probably be good in a home with an older dog brother or sister to look out for me and boost my confidence. I don't have the tolerance for small children, their quick sudden movements can scare me. If you're interested in me please submit an application. If you are interested in adopting this adorable 2 year old canine weighing 31 pounds, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us atsafehaven1471@gmail.com. Additional adoption info

Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.
