Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
***HOW TO ADOPT***
An approved adoption application is required to meet our cats. Visit www.animalovers.org/adopt to download an application which can be emailed to info@animalovers.org.
We do not adopt our fosters to anyone further than a 1-hour drive from Albany, NY. Unless otherwise stated in their bio, our fosters are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on vaccinations before they are posted for adoption.
***ABOUT CASEY***
Casey, sweet 1 1/2 year old Casey, she has a mind of her own! She was found when she walked right into a strangers home on a cold winter night! We have since given her a warm loving place to live, however, she is now ready to have a forever home of her own. Casey would be a great only-cat and/or only-pet. She makes herself right at home, she can be indifferent but has a yearning to be loved!
Casey is very independent and will come around and purr and likes to be pet (on her own terms). There is one place in the house where she does not like to be affectionate, and that is in the kitchen, she of course has an agenda and that is food!
Casey will often put up her dukes, bat, gently grapple or give love bites when the affection shown is too much for her to handle. With the right tender loving care and an experienced cat owner, Casey can continue to learn to give and receive the love she has, wants and needs!

AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low-cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
