My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma recently came to ARC with two other kitties because her guardian was moving. Although her guardian was moving without her, this time it was a good thing. Emma’s living conditions where she was were not good. Emma still has some hair loss, but she is getting better every day at ARC and well cared for. Even though her life before coming to ARC was difficult, she is still a good-natured kitty and is adjusting nicely to her new surroundings. She welcomes attention and petting from staff and volunteers and gets more relaxed and comfortable with each day that passes. And she gets along great with all the other cats in her house.

Come meet Emma and see for yourself what a gentle, good-natured kitty she is and how she totally deserves a home where she can feel safe, secure, and loved forever!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
