My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***HOW TO ADOPT***
An approved adoption application is required to meet our cats. Visit www.animalovers.org/adopt to download an application which can be emailed to info@animalovers.org.

We do not adopt our fosters to anyone further than a 1-hour drive from Albany, NY. Unless otherwise stated in their bio, our fosters are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on vaccinations before they are posted for adoption.

***ABOUT LUCY***

Lucy is 11 months old, she will need a special patient and understanding home that can take the time to continue to work with her. You can not pick her up but you can pet her (especially when food is around or she is snuggled with her pals). Sometimes she will get up on your couch near you. She is an energic little girl and will absolutely need a pal (or two) to hang out with and snuggle up to. She loves other cats but has not been around dogs. Because of her nature there should be no young children in your home. She is a polydactyl. Won't you give her the forever home she deserves?

More about this rescue

AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:

* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.

In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low-cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
