My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milan is a cute, short haired dark gray tabby female kitten about 6-7 months old (DOB about 3/15/24).  She is one of 11 kittens taking from a house with multiple unspayed females allowed to go in and out.  All of the kittens were taken into foster care, and all of the females spayed.  She LOVES everyone as soon as she meets them.  Milan is a wonderful kitten, fascinated by everything going on around him, afraid of nothing she has encountered. She's a purring charmer hoping to find her forever home where she can get the love and attention she wants.  Shis VERY playful and active.  She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored.  She gets along well with other cats, and we think she'd be great with dogs and kids.  She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had all three distemper and the rabies vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, been vet checked, microchipped, and spayed.  Preference will be given to adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten.  We typically do not adopt kittens less than 6 months old to homes where they will be a solo pet.   If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters are required to complete our application before adoption. Our adoption fee varies based on the age and breed of the cat. The fee includes testing for feline leukemia and aids, the series of distemper vaccines, the rabies vaccines, wormings, advantage so they are flea free when you take them home, a veterinary exam, and the spay or neuter. Microchipping is available for an additional $45. The adoption fee is waived for qualifying adopters interested in one of our sponsored cats.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

At this time we are not attending adoption fairs. To adopt, we ask that you first complete an application (email hhfrey1@tds.net to request and indicate the cat(s) of interest). Approved applications will be allowed to meet the cat in a home environment. Completing the application does not obligate you to adopt.

More about this rescue

Stray Connection is a small organization of private foster homes (no shelter or store-front) that takes in kittens/cats from shelters outside of Knoxville that are typically high-kill, low-funded. These cats are brought to Knoxville where they receive the necessary vet care. Because our cats live in private homes, we know them well. It is our mission to make the best match of the cat's personality and individual needs with an approved adopter.
