Dale is about 1.5 years old and was a stray with his sister, Milley, in Burnt Hills. He was fed by a kind lady on her back porch for over a year. Eventually, an AnimaLovers volunteer stepped in to get Dale vetted and to find him a forever indoors home!
He is friendly and will purr when he sees his favorite humans. He will come out from his sleeping stop to be pet and to rub up against his humans. He is still getting used to living indoors so new people, places and noises make him nervous. He is a handsome, gentle guy who just wants to be loved. He will do well with older children in his forever home; he is too nervous to be with young children. He is okay living with his feline sister. He has never been around dogs. He will take time to adjust to his forever home, but the wait will be worth it for this lovebug! He would do best in a quieter home.

AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low-cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
