My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you an experienced cat guardian who would like to give a shy, under-socialized cat a chance? Do you have a soft spot for overlooked cats? If you said yes and would like to learn more about Molly, please read on.

Molly's journey hasn't been easy - she comes from an outdoor colony and is continually building her trust towards humans. She birthed many litters prior to her rescue who have all been adopted since. She's now waiting for her turn with the right family. The ideal adopter will provide the time, patience, and understanding she needs to blossom into her true self. While she may never become a snuggly cat, with the right environment and care, she will undoubtedly thrive. It's evident she has great potential as she's been doing great living indoors.

Molly is a stunning dilute orange/cream cat with a unique feature - she's polydactyl, meaning she has extra toes! Molly is not only beautiful but also incredibly low maintenance, making her an ideal companion for the right person. She is quiet and reserved, preferring a calm and quiet environment without the hustle and bustle of children or dogs. Molly will benefit from having a cat companion in the home who can show her the ropes and help boost her confidence. She is most compatible with confident and friendly male cats. She enjoys the company of other friendly felines too.

Molly loves spending time by the window, watching birds and soaking up the sunshine. She also has a fondness for churu and is food and treat motivated, making her easy to spoil. She loves to be brushed, and to be petted on her head, chin and along her back. Molly also has great litter box manners.

Current Dislikes: She is fearful of feet walking toward her if she is at ground level. She's also afraid of entirely open spaces. She's not a fan of her paws being touched or having her nails trimmed yet. These dislikes may diminish over time when she becomes more trusting.

This animal is shy at first and will need time to adapt to a new home.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
