My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A FUN & ADVENTUROUS GIRL:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 43 lbs.

Hi, I’m Sadi!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I sure am happy to be on my way to finding a great new family – perhaps it’s you!  I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program offsite and learned a lot!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and loved to play with them!  I can be rough when I play, so I’d want a playful doggie friend that wouldn’t mind this, so if you have a nice dog at home that might like a playmate, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / I’ve not officially met cats while at Mostly Mutts, but I ran to the cat room window and followed them with interest through the window.  So, if you have a kitty already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I was very active and excited to meet the kids at Mostly Mutts!  In fact, I was a bit all over them with my enthusiasm, so I think kids 10 years and older would be best for me, although they should not walk me as I sometimes lunge at cars.  Let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly and very active girl who has a fun and playful nature.  I heard the volunteers say I am ‘a wonderful dog’ who is a real sweetheart – with the most beautiful, soulful eyes.  I love to play hard and then take a good nap, just to do it all over again!  / My energy level is 7 – 9, so let’s be active together!

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my easy walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play – with people and toys alike.  I’m a strong, young and energetic girl who would enjoy a nice, fenced yard to romp around in with you.  When walking me, please hold onto my leash tightly as I have been lunging at some cars as they pass by.  Let’s make time for fun adventures together too! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I am also receiving medicated baths and taking an allergy medication called Apoquel for some skin itchiness I’m experiencing.  This combination has helped me greatly and has increased my overall energy level as I’m feeling so much better!

I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved member of an active family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
